Celebrity fashion designers presented their collections to support the Cinderella Foundation as they honored this year's recipient of the Glass Slipper Award, Amsale Aberra, couture bridal and evening wear designer.
AMSALE designs have become synonymous with the "forever modern" wedding dresses, and her namesake collections are timeless, stylish, and sophisticated. AMSALE, a proud Ethiopian designer, opened her self-named Madison Avenue Boutique in September 2001.
Celebrity hosts were jazz musician Marcus Johnson, CNN's Sunny Hostin, and FOX5's Wisdom Martin. A host of celebrated designers presented their collections: Jerell Scott Designs of Project Runway Season 5, Tashia Senn Collection, Carol Hannah Whitfield of Project Runway Season 6, Kwab Asamoah of Kustom Looks Clothier, Reco Chappelle of Bravo TV's "The Fashion Show", Posh Couture Owner Jewell Green, and Minno Movin-Ventura of Belafigura.
Closing the show was Korto Momolu, award winning designer from Project Runway Season 5. Momolu's accessories collections are available at Dillard's department store.
